Stephanie O'Brien - Toddlers Lead Educator/2IC/Educational Leader

Hello everyone, my name is Stephanie O’Brien and I have been working in Child Care for the last seven years. I have been a Lead Educator for five of those years working mainly with children in the 15month – 2.5 year age group.

I am very passionate about learning as much as I can about your child and families so that I can develop your child’s learning around their interests.

Please feel free to speak to me at any time regarding any concerns, feedback or comments that you may have.  I encourage you and your families to participate in our program at any time.  This might include doing things like spending time in the room, showcasing your talents (music, craft etc.) or even written input (email, parent suggestion box).

I look forward to getting to know you all and sharing your child’s learning journey at Fairfield Waters Early Learning.

Andrea Nobile - Kindergarten Teacher

Hi my name is Mrs Andrea Nobile and I am very thrilled to be joining the team at Fairfield Waters Early Learning. I am very excited to be your teacher and looking forward to learn about you, but first I’ll tell you a little about me.

Hi my name is Mrs Andrea Nobile and I am very thrilled to be joining the team at Fairfield Waters Early Learning. I am very excited to be your teacher and looking forward to learn about you, but first I’ll tell you a little about me.

I have more than thirty years teaching experience in the early childhood sector. My qualifications are Diploma of Teaching Primary, Bachelor of Education and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

I have been married for 23 years to my husband Paul and have a beautiful daughter Majella who is currently studying Business and Marketing on a tennis scholarship in America.

My husband is a mechanical engineer and works in a mine near Mount Isa and flies in and out weekly.

We have a fifteen year old cat named ‘Julie’ who is very spoilt and who is great company!!

There is so much I am looking forward to.

I shall be introducing science experiments which the children I am sure shall love because it is a ‘hands on’ approach to learning.

Also, I’d like to set up rotations of exciting and engaging activities for the children to work through daily.  Once I get to know every child’s interest these activities would become more child initiated and focused than teacher chosen and directed.

We will do many fun projects together. I can’t wait to meet you and start the year!

I enjoy going to professional development and trainings so I can enrich my learning about working with children, because as adults, our learning doesn’t stop after high school or university; there is always new information to learn, develop and help us grow in ourselves. I have also achieved my certified supervisor’s certificate as well.

I am passionate about working with children, as children are our future, the next potential future leaders and as early childhood educators and even as parents as well, we can help children grow into young and confident community members.

I am also gaining my Qualified Leader qualifications to become a Girl Guide Leader for Girl Guides Queensland as well; I’m also co-assisting in running a Girl Guide unit here in Townsville.

I have been doing Girl Guides for nearly 15 years. Through Girl Guides, it has taught me to challenge myself in new experiences and try new activities. I have participated in the Duke of Edinburgh program – an Award for young people aged 18 – 25-year-olds). I have completed my Bronze, Silver, with recently gaining my Gold Duke of Edinburgh in mid-2017.

"My daughter has been attending FWEL since she was 18-months old and is now 3 years old and it was the best decision I ever made.  The centre staff are exceptional, professional and like extended family to us all and I had no hesitation referring three friends and their children to the centre.  The facilities are top notch and the design of the children's rooms and play areas show that plenty of thought has been put into this centre right from the start especially the train window, animal shelters and water park. Thanks Linda and the team for giving me peace of mind every day, even as my 3 year old kicks me out and says this is 'her place' not mine!"
